A HUMANITARIAN SUNDAY AT THE ADOKA IDPS CAMP!

It was indeed a humanitarian Sunday for me at the Adoka IDPs camp. Where I had some non food items (clothing) distributed to members of the IDPs at the camp.

It was indeed a happy and joyful moment for this IDP members in Adoka having me always fighting, pushing, standing with and for them in this their trying moment right from 3rd February,2024 when the blood thirsty armed Fulani militias came attacking and displaced them from Entekpa to Adoka-Ehaje Ward of Adoka in Otukpo local government area till date. Without any hope of returning back to their ancestral home/communities in view.
Many thanks to all those especially the Benue State deputy governor His Excellency Dr. Barr. Sam Ode,mni , the Benue State Head Of Service, Prince Dr.Moses Ode Agbogbo Oleng that have been standing with us at the Adoka IDPs camp with food items, non food items, finances and grant opportunities.

We are still using this opportunity to cry out to many more spirited individuals, NGOs, Adoka area traditional council, the Otukpo Local Government Caretaker Chairman and the Benue State governor, His Excellency Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia to please come to our aids of doing all they can to restore total peace and security to our displaced communities covering two council wards of Adoka in Otukpo local government area. For us to return back home and our farm as the farming season sets in to avoid a looming food crisis subsequently in this part of the state and as well support us with more relief materials while we still remain in the IDPs camp here suffering.
It's on this pathetic note that we are crying to the Benue State government that Otukpo local government actually have an IDPs camp at Adoka centre hosting displaced persons from two council wards (Entekpa and Adoka-Ehaje) of Adoka in Otukpo local government area. And we appeal for a review of the enlisted benefiting local government areas  to include the already excluded Otukpo local government area IDPs camp in Adoka in the recently launched Benue state project for the address of needs of vulnerable groups in IDP camps that had only APA and AGATU Local Government areas IDPs camp from Benue zone 'C' as the only local government IDPs camp to benefit from this laudable project.
Otukpo local government area indeed has a suffering IDPs camp at Adoka centre accommodating not less than 6000 internally displaced persons that should not  be excluded from benefiting from such a huge Benue State opportunity at a critical time as this.

Dybala as he is fondly called by his friends catches my eyes when I went to watch a community soccer tournament hosted by some local coaches in the community I watched him for the whole of the tournament have nothing but admiration for him. I had a brief conversation with him after a game and was astonished by his knowledge about the game of soccer, which he passionately want to be a professional soccer player someday, but at the moment he says his ultimate goal is to get educations through the game of soccer. Ramson is a Midfielder who can play anywhere in the middle of park he’s very strong, creative, and fast and has eyes for goals; no wonder his mates gave him the name Paulo Dybala. UEFA Scraps Goal Rule In Champions League And Europa League

UEFA has abolished the away goal rule in all club competitions from the 2021/22 season. Instead, ties that are still level after two matches will go to extra time and penalties. “The away goals rule has been an intrinsic part of UEFA competitions since it was introduced in 1965. However, the question of its abolition has been debated at various UEFA meetings over the last few years,” UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin said. “Although there was no unanimity of views, many coaches, fans and other football stakeholders have questioned its fairness and have expressed a preference for the rule to be abolished.” He added: “The impact of the rule now runs counter to its original purpose as, in fact, it now dissuades home teams – especially in first legs – from attacking, because they fear conceding a goal that would give their opponents a crucial advantage. ”There is also criticism of the unfairness, especially in extra time, of obliging the home team to score twice when the away team h
