Like I promised you guy’s that I’ ll be updating you all on the children I meet last week Sunday in Niamey Niger Republic am talking about Habibu Al-Hassan Suleman and Aziz Monday been the second day of April I walk to the school nearby there I meet a man whom don’t want to be named and ask him if I can meet with the school head master leading me to the headmaster he asked if was from France or the Americas and I ANSWERED and said no that am an African from the continent ha-ha, so we went Ahead to meet with the headmaster, the headmaster welcome us and asked if he can be of help to us, and immediately I started telling him my plans and how I meet the kids on the street and want to help them get into school listening with so much excitement & looking so impressed he ask if we’re an N.G.O I reply & said yes but we’re sports N.G.O based in Ghana, He asked me to wait for a while so he called out for other ladies to come to the office & join the discussion when

Kader Oumarou 15 years old kader & stand 205 tall a student athlete of Mara junior high school Niamey Niger Republic, I sported kader together with Moutar in the basketball court on my visit to Niamey the capital of Niger republic, has a lot of potentials in him that can make him become a great basketball players in the future if he continue this way. Has not yet play basketball high level but he’s got that potentials in him already he played four games during my program in Niamey and he was wonderful in all game I watch him play kader like any other African young basketball players dream to make to the high level one day with playing in the college is all what is he’s mind now. Today been Sunday is one of our free day so you expect me to be in church but instead I opted to be on the street to see for myself how children in Niger Republic survive. Yes I met what I expected from the street. I take a long walk from my hotel room to a local place where there sell food and drinks to my astonishment I saw this four little kids begging for foot to eat so I draw close to them to see why they are here instead of staying home with their family this morning, speaking in Hausa I ask them why are they here and habibu answered me and said they don’t have a home they sleep wherever night meet them. And when day break they move about until night come again, so I ask for how long have they been out here like this? Hi everybody just felt I should shear this quick one with you guys 15 years old Moutar Tankouno a student athlete from Niger Republic a complete basketball player stands 205 tall I sported Moutar as I came in this country last Monday morning he’s been wonderful in all the games I have seen him play for his school in this tournament and I feel it good for us to give him an opportunity of a scholarship in his country to further he’s education as this is part of our commitment to take the children off the street, Moutar like other kids in Niger Rep don’t really have access to education seems he’s from a poor background and have no body to puss him through I meet with his father to let him know our plan’s for his son and he was pleased by thanking us. Moutar is very concerned about his future and really want to succeed in the game of basketball but for the moment Moutar will be in his homeland to finished his junior high school first and from there he’ll be brought to Ghana wh

These kids really touch my heart from every point of view. Suleman suhabu and Abdul-Aziz are just ten years old each but are not in school, I meet these kids just opposite my hotel room where I was staying in Niamey the Niger capital every morning when I wake up I see them outside the street working for an old man as beggars so one morning I approach them to find out why they’re not in school and the very first thing Suleman told me was that he really want to be in school and become an Engineer one day but he can’t afford for school fees and after all he never knew he’s dad and he’s mother is in the village with the rest of his sisters so he’s in town to look for a leaving for the rest of the family at the age Ten, I felt very bad about what he told me knowing how dangerous it could be for him and he’s friend adbul-aziz in the future so I prayed & ask God to tell me what to do for these two handsome kids so the very first thing that came to my mind was to send th

Our trip to the Cote d’ Ivoire,

The trip was an educative one with my youth team learning a lot from their Ivorian counterpart, one of the eye opener of the tournament is Mohammed and Benjamin who their outstanding performance in tournament have taking them to be invited to the ABC basketball youth academy for a four mouths trial out with them in other to enhance their basketball potentials, Mohammed & Benjamin are just 12 years old with the look of things they will be great asset for this country in the coming years as they have what it takes to be great basketball player’s our ladies team will be on trip to Togo this weekend and we’ll be playing teams from some ladies team and as well as their junior national team.
