They spoke at LGEA Primary School Okpoga during a meeting with the Governor. Speakers including Dr. Patrick Ogbu, Professor Jerry Agada and Barrister Jacob Oguche for Ado, Ogbadibo and Okpokwu respectively stated that Okpokwu is one hundred per cent PDP and would massively vote for the Governor in both the forthcoming delegate and 2019 elections. They stated that under the Governor, Zone C produced the first Chief Judge and three heads of service including a woman as first female head of service, describing the Governor as a man with impeccable character, courage and love. Chief Mike Iduma, former state chairman of the PDP while receiving the Governor as preferred PDP governorship aspirant of the zone, pledged their support to Governor Ortom's reelection in 2019. Chairman of G14 of the PDP in Zones A and B, Dr. Laha Dzever and leader of G14, Dr. Aker Gajir, while presenting the Governor to people of the zone said what they were looking for in the PDP had come back to them on a platter of gold. They said it was on that note that PDP leaders from the Tiv extraction had decided to present the Governor to all the geopolitical zones for reelection, pointing out that all other governorship aspirants had been handed over to the Governor for consideration. Governor Ortom commiserated with people of the zone over the gruesome murder of their kith and kin by militia herdsmen in march this year. He stated that he was overwhelmed by the warm welcome accorded him by the PDP family in the state, stressing that he had already felt the warmth of home. The Governor noted that his administration has recorded milestones in the health, education, infrastructure and security sectors despite the economic crunch and external aggression experienced during his regime. While soliciting the support of people of the area for his reelection, Governor Ortom commended Assembly members from the zone who refused to collect bribe to impeach him, saying the plan of the devil over the state would not succeed.
