Some up Date on Elizabith Cudjoe

WESSON — Three members of the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Lady Wolves soccer team have earned post-season honors. For the second consecutive year, Elizabeth Cudjoe has been named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 23. Nikki Marbury and Shakendria Williams have been named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-State.


Cudjoe, a sophomore from Ghana, scored 8 goals and had 1 assist for 17 points in only 6 matches this season. Cudjoe is repeat All-Region selection and is a member of Ghana’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup team.

Marbury, sophomore from Florence, scored 7 goals, had 3 assists for 17 points this season for the Lady Wolves. She is a repeat selection to the All-State team.

Williams, a sophomore goalkeeper from Crystal Springs had 111 saves in all 15 matches.

The Lady Wolves, coached by Trey Woodham, finished the season with a 4-11 record.

It was indeed a humanitarian Sunday for me at the Adoka IDPs camp. Where I had some non food items (clothing) distributed to members of the IDPs at the camp. It was indeed a happy and joyful moment for this IDP members in Adoka having me always fighting, pushing, standing with and for them in this their trying moment right from 3rd February,2024 when the blood thirsty armed Fulani militias came attacking and displaced them from Entekpa to Adoka-Ehaje Ward of Adoka in Otukpo local government area till date. Without any hope of returning back to their ancestral home/communities in view. Many thanks to all those especially the Benue State deputy governor His Excellency Dr. Barr. Sam Ode,mni , the Benue State Head Of Service, Prince Dr.Moses Ode Agbogbo Oleng that have been standing with us at the Adoka IDPs camp with food items, non food items, finances and grant opportunities. AMB. DICKSON AKOH EMERGES HEAD, AU PEACE AND SECURITY COMMITTEE

The African Union Economic, Social and Cultural Council has appointed and inaugurated Amb. Dickson A. O. Akoh, National Commandant, Peace Corps of Nigeria to head the Peace and Security Cluster Committee of the Council in Nigeria. The Oyachaba K' Idoma was conferred this mandate in Abuja by the Country Representative of AU-ECOSOCC, Dr. Tunji Asaolu with the responsibility of popularizing the domestication and implementation of AU vision especially in the areas of conflict anticipation, preventing and combating terrorism, use of child soldiers, child trafficking and illicit proliferation of small arms.
